Hopefully, a lucky person will catch the grand prize Rainbow Trout worth $10,000. In addition, there will be 300 other tagged trout worth $100, $50 and $25 each. There will also be prizes awarded for total inches of non-tagged trout! See pictures of the 2011 Kiwanis Special Olympics Trout Fishing Derby! The fishing Derby is conducted under a Special Use Permit with the Sierra National Forest. There will also be prizes awarded for total inches of non-tagged trout! Paul Gottfried of Clovis, CA. was the $1,000 "Lucky Winner" of the grand prize tagged fish #1538 caught after the 15th Annual Kiwanis Special Olympics Fishing Derby held on July 16, 2011.  Paul caught the tagged fish on August 25, 2011. See a Photo of the winner. Prior to 2011 Derby Special Olympians fish with Dennis Wilt 2006 "Lucky Winner" of $10,000.
