KIWANIS TROUT FISHING DERBY RULES

1.) All Derby participants must have in their possession a valid California Fishing License with the exception of children under 16.
2.) Early registration fees are $15 per licensed adult or $30 per family. Late registration fees (after July 7th) are $25 per licensed adult or $40 per family. Family registration is limited to husband and wife with a maximum of three (3) children under 16.
3.) You must officially register with the Trout Fishing Derby Committee for you to be eligible for the $10,000 fish or any other tagged and non-tagged fish.
4.) Since a copy of the 2008 registration will not be returned to you, it is imperative you verify registration on Derby Day, or call (559) 434-8099 (Kiwanis Trout Fishing Committee), for verification. The first 250 pre-registered participants who confirm registration at either of the two locations (Boat Ramp near the dam or at Short Hair Creek near the powerhouse), will receive a FREE Souvenir Fishing Derby hat.
5.) Participants may register up to 9:00 am, July 12, 2008 at either of the two locations (Boat Ramp near the dam or at Short Hair Creek near the powerhouse).
6.) All fish must be caught under the guidelines of current California Fishing Regulations. No more than five (5) tagged/non-tagged fish may be turned in by a single registered angler.
7.) Fishing lines can only be in the water between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm during the day of the Derby.
8.) If the $10,000 fish is not caught during the day of the Derby, it will be worth $1.000 through September 30, 2008, to ALL Fishing Derby Registrants. After Derby Day, the grand prize fish must be verified at Wishon Village.
9.) All tagged fish must be brought to the Fishing Derby Headquarter, located at the boat ramp near the dam, as soon as possible for verification. Derby Headquarter closes at 4:00 pm. To qualify for prizes, participants must be registered and show proper identification.
10.) Person catching the $10,000 fish will be paid by check within thirty (30) days of the catch. All other prizes will be awarded on the same day of the Derby.
11.) All non-tagged fish must be brought to one of the locations prior to 2:00 pm for measuring total inches up to five (5) fish. Prizes will be awarded to winners at 3:00 pm.
12.) Anyone violating conditions of the Derby rules will be automatically disqualified from receiving any prize money.
13.) A voluntary 5 MPH speed limit will be posted on the lake. REMEMBER COURTESY IS CONTAGIOUS!
